DACUM (Developing A CUrriculuM) Workshops

DACUM is a process of Job / Occupational Analysis where Expert Workers identify a comprehensive set of duties and tasks which they perform along with important skills, knowledge, tools and behaviors. Results are validated and stored in a DACUM Chart which is then used as the basis for a competency based curriculum or training program.

The GIS Workshop is a serving as a Curriculum Consultant and DACUM Facilitator to the new National Geospatial Technology Center (NGTC) in Corpus Christi, Texas and the California Community Colleges Geospatial Information Support (C3GIS). DACUM workshops for technician level geospatial  workers are being conducted at the following locations through-out the United States to identify a set of common skills and responsibilities.
